Why there is an office behind the hangar

After more than 20 years examining pilots at Gerald R. Ford International Airport, Dr. Edmondson retired from family practice. The corporate flight department he had long served asked him to continue rather than lose him, and provided a dedicated office on airport property so their crews would not have to go elsewhere.

He practices there independently. Amway's flight department remains among the operations he serves, and he sees pilots from every other operation on and off the field on the same terms: same exam, same pricing, same airport access.

For years his scheduling ran through the hangar's front desk. He is busy enough now to run his own, which is why appointments come straight to him.
